Senior Planner
Location: Birmingham

Office-based 4 days per week
I'm currently working in partnership with a well-established, private planning consultancy to appoint a Senior Planner for their growing Birmingham office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner who is looking to progress their career within a respected consultancy that offers strong client exposure, high-quality work, and a clear pathway for advancement.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering a varied portfolio of projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will be given real responsibility, managing projects from early-stage appraisals through to submission and determination.
Key responsibilities will include:
andmiddot;Managing planning applications and appeals independently
andmiddot;Preparing planning statements, site appraisals and strategic advice
andmiddot;Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultant teams
andmiddot;Attending client meetings and providing commercially focused planning advice
andmiddot;Supporting junior team members where appropriate
About You
andmiddot;Minimum 2 years RTPI PQE
andmiddot;4-5+ years' overall planning experience
andmiddot;Majority of experience gained within a consultancy environment
andmiddot;Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
andmiddot;Confident managing applications with minimal supervision
andmiddot;Strong written and verbal communication skills
andmiddot;Midlands-based or willing to commute to Birmingham
Working Pattern
This is a Birmingham-based role with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office, supporting collaboration and team culture.
