School Administrator - Solihull

Location: Solihull
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm, Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a school in Solihull.

The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a school environment and be confident using Bromcom. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school administrator looking for a new role within a busy and supportive school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the school
  • Managing pupil and school records
  • Updating and maintaining information accurately on Bromcom
  • Supporting attendance administration and monitoring
  • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries from parents, staff and external agencies
  • Preparing letters, documents and general correspondence
  • Supporting the wider school team with administrative tasks
  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Assisting with the smooth running of the school office
  • Undertaking any other reasonable administrative duties as required
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a school environment - essential
  • Bromcom experience - essential
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy school environment
  • Professional, friendly and approachable manner
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Safeguarding & Vetting

As this is a school-based position, all candidates will be required to complete the necessary recruitment and safeguarding checks, including:

  • Minimum of 2 employer references covering the previous 24 months
  • If you have not worked with children previously, 3 references will be required
  • Any employment gaps will require a professional character reference
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred; otherwise, candidates must be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS
  • Right to Work documentation
  • 2 proofs of address - utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months, or council tax dated within the last 12 months
  • Proof of National Insurance number
  • Proof of any name changes, where applicable
  • Overseas police check if the candidate has lived outside the UK for more than 6 months
  • Completion of our online mandatory training courses, provided free of charge

Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Thursday / 8:00am-3:30pm Friday
