Actio Recruitment are delighted to be assisting a well-established manufacturing company based in Aldershot in their search for an experienced Grinder to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long standing business with in the precision engineering sector, offering long-term career development, overtime opportunities, and future development.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of precision grinding operations, with the role being predominantly focused on manual grinding, alongside some CNC grinding work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating Jones & Shipman grinders
• Manual surface and cylindrical grinding of precision-engineered components
• Carrying out some CNC grinding work as required
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspecting finished components to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a grinding role
• Strong knowledge of Jones & Shipman or similar grinding machinery
• Experience with manual grinding processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
