Graduate Product Design Engineer

Location: Exeter
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

An established design business is looking to recruit a Graduate Product Design Engineer-to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and motivated individual looking to develop their career in product design. The position will involve working on a variety of projects from initial concepts through to detailed designs and production.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product concepts and design ideas

• Produce 3D CAD models and technical drawings

• Create visual presentations and product renderings

• Assist with prototype development and product testing

• Work closely with colleagues throughout the design process

• Consider materials, manufacturing methods and product functionality

• Support projects from concept through to production

Requirements

• Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design or similar

• Experience using 3D CAD design software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion, etc.)

• Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills

• Ability to produce sketches, concepts and visual presentations

• Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• Experience with prototyping or workshop processes beneficial
