CNC Machinist/Programmer

Perm Role, £35k-£45k pa DOE, Days, 37hrs per week, Mon-Thurs, Overtime

Are you an experienced CNC Turner or CNC Miller, looking for a new challenge where your skills are put to the test daily? I am looking for a CNC Turner and a CNC Miller to work for my client based in Wetherby.

The business is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and this is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team who take pride in their work.

CNC Turner required experience:

andmiddot; Excellent CNC Turning skills and the ability to both program and edit

andmiddot; Conversational Programming experience is essential

andmiddot; Good working knowledge of Fanuc controls

andmiddot; Manual Turning knowledge would be advantageous

CNC Miller required experience:

andmiddot; Excellent CNC Milling skills and the ability to program from scratch

andmiddot; Good working knowledge of Heidenhain or Fanuc controls

andmiddot; A good understanding of CAD/CAM, ideally Fusion 360, would be beneficial to the role

andmiddot; Manual Milling knowledge would be advantageous

Other desired skills required include:

andmiddot; Experience in Machining a wide range of specialist materials including Heavy Flame cut Structural Steels, High tensile steel, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze and Acetal

andmiddot; Experience of working to ISO9001:2015 and Fit4Nuclear standards

andmiddot; Capable of reading and working from complex engineering drawings

andmiddot; Experience of machining one off pieces and very small batches

andmiddot; Must possess a good attention to detail

andmiddot; Ability to work to both independently and well within a team

andmiddot; Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards

andmiddot; C/B FLT License would be beneficial

The core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + andfrac12; on Saturdays. The starting salary for the role is experience dependant, between £35k and £45k. This role is advertised as Permanent from day one.
