The Role
A leading planning consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Planner to join their established Chelmsford office.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional looking to take the next step in their career within a consultancy that offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects.
You will be responsible for managing a range of planning instructions, providing strategic planning advice to clients and working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development and help support the continued growth of the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
- Strong experience within a UK planning consultancy
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK planning system
- Proven experience managing planning applications and projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and provide commercially focused planning advice
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Previous experience at Senior Planner/Associate level would be advantageous
- A proactive approach to business development and team leadership
